Choose the right purchase type
| Mechanism | Use | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Pass | One-time ongoing privilege | Verify ownership and apply benefits correctly |
| Developer product | Repeat purchase such as a consumable | Handle receipts; prevent duplicate fulfillment |
| DevEx | Exchange eligible Earned Robux under current terms | Eligibility, approval, costs, and applicable rate |
Review failure paths before selling
Do not grant a developer product merely because a purchase prompt closed. Follow Roblox receipt handling and make fulfillment robust to retries. Test cancellation and reconnect separately from the happy path.
Start with the official pass guide and developer product guide. Use the DevEx calculator for labeled rate scenarios, then check the current terms.
Measure proceeds rather than visits
Visits, player purchases, creator proceeds, and cash received are different measures. Track actual proceeds and costs; do not infer earnings from another game's public player count. Read the creator income explanation before planning a budget.
