Roblox Creator Rewards: the short answer
Roblox Creator Rewards currently has two separate programs. Daily Engagement can award 5 Robux when an eligible Active Spender spends at least 10 minutes in your experience and it is one of their first three qualifying experiences that day. Audience Expansion can award a 35% revenue share on a qualifying new or reactivated user's first $100 of qualifying purchases during their first 60 days, but only when attribution, playtime, audience-size, identity, account-standing, and DevEx requirements are satisfied.
Those are the rules published in Roblox's official Creator Rewards documentation and checked on September 1, 2026. Roblox says it may modify the framework, so do not build a forecast from an old video or assume every 10-minute session earns a reward.
Rewards start with a game people genuinely want to play. If you need to test an obstacle-course concept before a Studio production pass, the Obby AI Roblox game builder can turn a prompt into a browser-playable obby prototype. Treat Creator Rewards as a possible result of real engagement and audience growth—not as the game design.
Daily Engagement vs. Audience Expansion
| Reward | What can qualify | Current reward | Major limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily Engagement | An Active Spender plays for 10+ minutes and the experience is among their first three qualifying experiences that day | 5 Robux for that eligible user-day | Most visits do not meet every condition |
| Audience Expansion | An attributed new or reactivated user plays 10+ minutes on the qualifying day and the experience sustains the required audience | 35% revenue share on the first $100 of qualifying purchases during the first 60 days | Attribution, 100+ average DAU, identity, standing, and DevEx rules apply |
Creator Rewards replaced older engagement-based and affiliate-style programs. Keep Creator Rewards separate from game passes, developer products, subscriptions, and other monetization methods. The Roblox game monetization hub explains how those systems fit into a broader economy.
How Daily Engagement Rewards work
Roblox currently defines an Active Spender as a user who, on that day:
- made at least $9.99 USD in qualifying purchases anywhere on Roblox during the previous 60 days; and
- was not a new user or reactivated user during the previous 60 days.
Qualifying purchases for that definition include Robux, Roblox Premium, and UGC subscriptions. The experience must receive at least 10 minutes of that user's playtime during the day and be among the first three experiences that user qualifies in that day.
Daily Engagement example
Imagine one Active Spender plays your game for four minutes in the morning and seven minutes later the same day. Their total is 11 minutes. The time threshold can be met across the day, but the visit still earns nothing unless the experience also meets the first-three condition and Roblox accepts the activity as genuine. If the same person returns tomorrow and qualifies again, that is a new user-day.
| Scenario | Daily Engagement result | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Active Spender, 12 total minutes, second qualifying experience | 5 Robux | Spender, time, and ordering conditions are met |
| Active Spender, 9 total minutes | No reward | Does not reach 10 minutes |
| Active Spender, 20 minutes, fourth qualifying experience | No reward | Falls outside the first three |
| Non-Active Spender, 30 minutes, first experience | No reward | Player does not meet the Active Spender definition |
Do not estimate Daily Engagement by multiplying total DAU by 5. Use the daily rewarded active spenders metric shown in Creator Dashboard because it reflects the eligible subset Roblox identified.
How Audience Expansion Rewards work
Audience Expansion is designed for creators who bring a genuinely new user to Roblox or bring back a user who had not logged in for 60 consecutive days. The qualifying user must be attributed to the experience, play it for at least 10 minutes on the required day, and the experience must maintain an average of at least 100 DAU for the 60 days after the user joins or returns.
Current attribution can happen through one of these documented paths:
- Share Link: the user joins or returns through the experience's trackable Share Link and plays that experience for 10+ minutes that day.
- Direct link: the user's first Roblox session on the joining or returning day enters the experience through its direct link, excluding Share Link users.
- Specific experience-name search: the user's first Roblox session that day enters after searching for that specific experience name, excluding Share Link users.
A new user must be genuinely new to Roblox, not a duplicate account, and not have joined because of a Roblox-run promotional campaign. A reactivated user must have been logged out for 60 consecutive days and must not have returned because of a Roblox campaign. Roblox makes the final attribution and eligibility decisions.
How to estimate Audience Expansion without promising income
The planning formula is:
Eligible purchase base = the smaller of qualifying purchases and the remaining $100 cap. Estimated share before official adjustments = eligible purchase base × 35%.
| Qualifying purchases in the window | Maximum base used in the simple estimate | 35% planning share |
|---|---|---|
| $20 | $20 | $7 equivalent before Roblox's conversion and adjustments |
| $100 | $100 | $35 equivalent before Roblox's conversion and adjustments |
| $140 | $100 | $35 equivalent before Roblox's conversion and adjustments |
This is a scenario model, not a payout promise. A user may not qualify, attribution can fail, prior qualifying purchases after an earlier reactivation can reduce the remaining base, suspicious activity can be excluded, refunds or chargebacks can affect rewards, and Roblox calculates the actual Earned Robux. Forecast from dashboard-qualified users, not raw clicks or signups.
Eligibility and the 60-day holding period
Roblox says all creators began earning Daily Engagement Rewards without additional enrollment in July 2025. Audience Expansion has stricter creator requirements: the relevant creator must have an ID-verified account in good standing and a valid DevEx account. Community-owned experiences need a member with the required revenue permission who satisfies the applicable identity, standing, and DevEx conditions.
Creator Rewards, if awarded, are paid as Earned Robux with a 60-day holding period. A dashboard estimate is therefore not the same as immediately available Robux or cash. DevEx has its own eligibility, tax, withholding, and account rules.
- Check Creator Dashboard for current Audience Expansion eligibility before running a campaign.
- Do not promise collaborators a payment date based on an estimated rewards chart.
- Keep campaign records and allow for the full holding and adjustment process.
- Use the Robux DevEx calculator only for scenarios; actual exchange eligibility and rates come from Roblox.
Where to see Creator Rewards data
For an experience, open Creator Dashboard → Creations → your experience → Monetization → Creator Rewards. Roblox currently exposes:
- estimated total Creator Rewards, split into Daily Engagement, New Audience Expansion, and Reactivated Audience Expansion;
- daily rewarded active spenders and a comparable percentage view;
- rewarded signups and rewarded reactivations;
- Audience Expansion spenders and qualifying spend; and
- estimated payout before final adjustments.
For Share Links, use Creator Dashboard → Analytics → Share Links to inspect clicks, signups, reactivations, qualifying spend, and estimated payout. Pair that with the Roblox Analytics guide so you also watch retention and source quality instead of optimizing only for attributed signups.
Design for genuine 10-minute value, not a timer
The 10-minute threshold is a condition, not a design target to manipulate. A player should stay because the first 10 minutes deliver understandable progress, enjoyable decisions, and a reason to care about the next session.
- Deliver the promise immediately. The icon and description should match the first playable experience.
- Reach the core action quickly. Avoid a long forced tutorial, idle lobby, or shop wall before play begins.
- Show progress. Use checkpoints, collections, upgrades, rounds, or goals that visibly move forward.
- Respect free players. Monetization should add value without making the base loop miserable.
- Test return behavior. Verify saves, respawns, mobile controls, multiplayer joins, and the next-session goal.
- Measure by source. A large campaign is wasteful if attributed newcomers bounce before experiencing the game.
Roblox's analytics growth guidance recommends improving retention and engagement before scaling acquisition. The discovery guide likewise emphasizes satisfying experiences, accurate metadata, and meaningful user behavior.
Creator Rewards practices that can get rewards removed
Roblox says it monitors and discounts inauthentic activity. Penalties can include forfeited rewards, program removal, or account termination. Do not use or encourage:
- bots, automated tools, browser extensions, plugins, or manipulated teleports to generate activity;
- alternate accounts created or reused to manufacture referrals, signups, or engagement;
- impersonation or false claims of affiliation with Roblox or another creator;
- fraudulent purchases, chargeback-heavy traffic, or misleading incentives; or
- any method that violates Roblox Terms, Community Standards, or program policies.
Use transparent campaign messaging and track real audience sources. A smaller number of genuine users who enjoy the game is more valuable than a suspicious spike that never survives review.
A four-week Creator Rewards plan
- Week 1 — verify eligibility and instrumentation: check the current program page, account standing, DevEx status, reward dashboard, Share Links, and first-session funnel.
- Week 2 — improve the experience: observe new players, fix the largest early drop-off, and confirm that progress saves correctly.
- Week 3 — test one attributable channel: use a proper Share Link, honest creative, and a modest audience. Do not combine five channels into one untraceable launch.
- Week 4 — reconcile quality and rewards: compare clicks, qualified signups or reactivations, 10-minute completion, retention, rewarded users, and estimated rewards. Scale only if the player experience is healthy.
Creator Rewards can complement a fair game economy, but it does not replace one. Read the complete Roblox monetization guide for passes, products, subscriptions, and economy design, and always recheck Roblox's live rules before making a financial decision.
