Roblox Texture Tile Calculator

Choose a tile size for a rectangular Roblox surface. Estimate full repeats and the partial tile remaining at each edge.

Enter positive values from 0.001 to 100,000 studs. U and V are the texture’s surface axes; confirm their orientation on the selected Studio face.

8 full repeats along U × 6 along V

48 complete two-dimensional tiles

Remaining edge: U 0 studs; V 0 studs.

Geometric repeats: U 8; V 6.

Flat repeat grid with zero offset. Colors are a diagram, not your texture. Counts describe geometry, not draw calls, asset loading, or rendering cost.

Read the result

A 32-by-24-stud surface with four-stud tiles fits eight by six full repeats, or 48 complete tiles. A 30-stud length with four-stud tiles fits seven repeats and a two-stud remainder. The remainder is a clipped edge tile, not necessarily a seam defect.

Match the axes to your face

U and V refer to the texture’s axes on the selected surface. Check orientation in Studio before transferring the dimensions. The grid assumes zero offset and a rectangular surface; it does not simulate mesh UVs, rotation, lighting, or your uploaded artwork.

Apply the values in Studio

Select the Texture beneath the target Part, confirm Face and image reference, then set StudsPerTileU and StudsPerTileV. Larger tile values produce fewer repeats. Roblox’s Texture reference documents these properties. Keep both values positive.

Read the baseplate texture guide for tile-size and seam examples. Use the decal and texture placement guide for image setup. Inspect seams in the source artwork and test the finished surface on your target devices. This calculator runs locally and does not upload assets.
